North Bridge and Beyond

Two hundred fifty years ago, Minutemen fired the “shot heard ’round the world” at Concord’s North Bridge. What happened here on April 19, 1775, and what crucial decisions did colonial leaders make that brought them face to face with menacing British troops?

The First Shot Tour will explore the battle site at the North Bridge and the conflict that took place there. We’ll also learn about the Wright Tavern to discover how the Massachusetts Provincial Congress met months before to plan their resistance to the British military threat.
