Singer-songwriter Ron Israel and spoken-word artist and poet Cheryl Perreault welcome the community to an intimate performance of original songs, poetry and stories addressing themes of light and illumination for the human spirit and our world. There will be interactive opportunities for audience participation.

Cheryl Perreault is a poet/writer and spoken word artist who lives in York, Maine. She has performed her poetry with guitarist Steve Rapson who recorded two cds of their collaborations.Cheryl has brought programs of poetry and story-sharing to many communities of people from age 4 to 97 including public schools, nursing homes, recovery centers, Artz/Artists for Alzheimer settings and as a hospice volunteer. .She hosted “Wake up and Smell the Poetry” “Meet Your Neighbor” for HCAM-TV in Hopkinton for 15 years and is co-editor with Cynthia Franca of Hope through Community: Word and Images in Response to a Global Pandemic. Ron Israel is a singer-songwriter, poet, and activist. His songs are about the times in which we live and the search for understanding. His music has been recorded and praised by the late Richie Havens, John Hammond Sr of Columbia Records, Peter Coyote, and Susan Stamberg. He has recorded 11 CDs (available at www.ronisraelmusic.com ) and recently written a book of poetry—Poetry the Buddha Taught Me– to be published in early 2026.
