Ellen Garrison Day Celebration!

It’s Time to Celebrate Ellen, Sunday, April 14, 3-5 p.m. at the Concord Armory, 91 Everett St. Concord. Honoring the 201st birthday of Concord’s native daughter Ellen Garrison, educator and activist. Featuring a behind-the-scenes peek at the new Half the History film, Ellen Garrison, Scene from an Activist’s Life, with producers Jennifer Burton and Julie Dobrow from Tuft’s University, honored Altadena, Calif., community leader Veronica James, inspiring poet Same Williams and special musical guest Shy Kira Allen, star of The Umbrella Art’s recent production of The Color Purple. Free, open to everyone, and suitable for all ages. Presented by the Robbins House, The Umbrella Arts Center and Concord250.
