We Were Friends: Commitment: Big Hearts

In their second summer production, the award-winning Firelight Theatre Workshop presents Commitment: Big Hearts, part of their episodic project We Were Friends. This playful reimagining brings the profound friendship between Margaret Fuller and Ralph Waldo Emerson into today’s world. In Commitment, Firelight highlights the crucial role of letter-writing in holding friends close for Fuller and Emerson. In this contemporary twist, the two work together to create a video postcard for English essayist Thomas Carlyle — a heartfelt gesture of connection intended for a near-stranger across the ocean.
