The Color Purple at the Umbrella Arts Center

This glorious musical adaptation of Alice Walker’s Pulitzer Prize-winning novel and the 1985 film by Steven Spielberg features a Tony-winning musical score and is a powerful testament to the healing power of love! Several special adjacent community activities are planned, including cast talkbacks and community discussions, childcare and pre-show dinner package performances, a Brownout show with BIPOC and Allies potluck, and special packaged pre-show Concord African American and Women’s History Walking Tours with the Town Visitor Services.
