deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum is pleased to present a musical performance with Kemp Harris as part of the New England Performance Series. Kemp was born in North Carolina but honed his musical style in the coffeehouses of Cambridge, eventually going on to develop a songwriting residency program at Wang Theater in Boston, original pieces for WGBH, and a master class series at Berklee College of Music. Performing with Kemp is Adam Osgood, a harp player and spoken word artist he met on Star Island, NH in 1985. Their unique blend of piano, vocals, and harmonica is a captivating mixture of seasoned blues, folk and roots influences. They’ve been at it for 38 years and it keeps getting better and better.
Concert begins at 6PM, Doors Open 5:30PM
This concert takes place on Linda’s Lawn so bring your chairs and blankets. If it rains, this concert will take place in the Dewey Family Hall located on the third floor of the deCordova Museum. Enter through the main museum entrance and staff will greet you and direct you.
