Concord celebrates its 390 birthday on Sept. 12. Concord, Massachusetts’s “birthday” refers to the date of its incorporation as an English village on Sept. 12, 1635. This date marks the official founding of the town, though the area had been home to the Nipmuc people for thousands of years prior, who called it Musketaquid.Â
