SUMMARY:Treestump Woodcraft Show & Sale
DESCRIPTION:Artisans Way\, located at 18 Walden St.\, Concord\, will welcome Treestump Woodcrafts for their annual Trunk Show on Saturday\, September 20 from 10-6 and Sunday\, September 21 from 12-5. \nHandcrafting their beautiful Southwestern style work for over 30 years\, Treestump Woodcrafts is a family business with Ron and Christine Sisco and their son Ron.  From their Arizona studio\, they use wood and stone to create furniture\, bowls\, trays\, sushi and bread boards\, and kitchen utensils. Their work is made primarily of mesquite\, a North American sustainable hardwood that is collected from naturally felled trees.  This year\, they will be introducing new furniture styles from their updated collection of tables\, benches\, and shelves. \nInspired by an ancient Chinese technique that Christine learned of in her Art History class in college\, they utilize the meandering cracks and knots in the wood by filling them with natural turquoise (known for its sky-blue col0r) or hand-gathered river rocks to produce sublime\, one-of-a-kind pieces.  All of their work is fully functional and meant to be used. \nThe Siscos will be in-store to provide a live demonstration of their signature technique and answer questions about their unique pieces throughout the weekend. Additionally\, all in-stock Treestump woodwork will be 15% off during the show.  For additional information\, check the website at www.artisansway.net/events or call (978) 369-4400.
