SUMMARY:Spotlight Tour: Hugh Hayden's Huff and a Puff
DESCRIPTION:This new series of tours takes a deep dive on sculptures in deCordova’s 30-acre Sculpture Park with curators and preparators on our staff. Each 30-minute conversation is designed to be an insider’s take on a favorite sculpture in the Park from someone who has a deep connection with the work. Ask your burning questions\, get the inside scoop\, and learn about familiar sculptures in a new way in this informal series. \nThis program will focus on Hugh Hayden’s Huff and A Puff with Chief Curator\, Sarah Montross. \nCapacity is limited. We recommend purchasing tickets in advance to guarantee a spot. \nPlan to arrive on campus at least 15 minutes before the tour begins\, as it may take some time to check-in. Registered participants will receive an email if the tour is cancelled. Please meet Sarah at the stairs in front of the Museum. \nYour ticket includes admission. Feel free to explore the grounds before or after the program. You’re welcome to picnic in the Park. Bring your own picnic or pick up a bite to eat at the Twisted Tree Café\, and stop by The Store for a gift or souvenir. \n  \nImage Caption: Hugh Hayden\, sketch for Huff and a Puff\, 2022 © Hugh Hayden

Under the baton of founder and music director\, Brendan Kenney\, almost 60 musicians performed Harry Potter Symphonic Suite\, a medley of the score from Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone\, garnering praise from MuggleNet.com\, Nerdist\, and New England’s Channel 7 News. Since then\, the orchestra has continued to grow in size and notoriety with its innovative digital performances from Phantom of the Opera\, the launch of the Firebird Vox choir\, and fresh seasonal concerts for the Halloween and Winter Holidays. Formally granted nonprofit status in 2022\, the Firebird Pops organization has been expanding its in-person repertoire\, and The Umbrella has been proud to partner and introduce them to live audiences in our state-of-the-art Main Stage Theater144!
